Toshiba Canada Feedback

The consensus amongst affected consumers is that Toshiba has been responsive when the issue has arisen however, many readers are angry about delays in getting new bulbs.

After months of consumer complaints, it would appear that Toshiba Canada has begun to be more responsive to the complaints of affected DLP owners.

In a recent letter sent to Canadian customers who have already had one lamp replaced, Toshiba has notified them that the lamp life of some of its DLP televisions "may be less than our expectation". The letter is essentially the same letter that was sent to disgruntled owners in the U.S. several months before.

In an effort to appease disgruntled customers, the company has informed them that they will be sending inconvenienced customers a third lamp which the company claims is "new and improved".

In the letter, Toshiba advises replacement owners to keep using their current lamp and to keep the new lamp as a spare until it is needed.None of our readers with defective bulbs has yet to receive the replacement bulbs and if some readers are correct, it might be sometime before they do.

Digital Home was been informed that the problem lamps are the D95, TB25 and TBL4 lamps and Toshiba support has been informing consumers that bulbs for the Toshiba 44HM85 are no longer in stock and that they have no idea as to when new lamps will be in stock.
